The Qualiservice anonymisation tool QualiAnon is a semi-automated tool and supports the data protection-compliant replacement of sensitive (usually personal) data in text-based research materials. Users decide whether texts are pseudonymised or anonymised as a result. QualiAnon can mark information and replace it using different levels of abstraction. Standardised lists can be used and the replacements can be made on a case- and study-specific basis. QualiAnon documents the replacements and enables exports of varying degrees of sensitivity.
The QualiAnon anonymisation tool was developed by the Qualiservice research data centre and can be used free of charge by all interested parties.
